Sandy Beach SurpriseBred

ARI# 35103899   D.O.B. 8/20/2016 (5 yrs)  (Due Date: 5/26/2022)

Suri, Female (Bred), Proven | Dark Fawn

Sire: AWH Torbio's Endless Summer | ARI# 32448382  | Medium Fawn
Dam: Makeanu's Nadia | ARI# 31385794  | Light Fawn |
Service Sire: GLR SUTON
| ARI# 35218784  | True Black

We had bred this girl's momma to Sierra Bonita's Maccoyo Maximum and she didn't get pregnant. So we decided to change the male to Torbio's Endless Summer and she took the first time. We saw Endless Summer win a championship years prior. He was spectacular and seeing the way their genetics combined to create Sandy has been a pleasant surprise.

Her mom, Nadia, surprised us delivering early, on a special friend's birthday. She also gave us the only girl of 9 leases just before a trip that had been gifted to us, to Hawaii - Inspiring the name Sandy Beach Surprise. Sandy beaches was a little small in size, but got up in front of a crowd of onlookers and made it right to the milk bar in record time and she hasn't looked back since. Someone present at her birth, took the cutest live photo of her momma kissing her after delivery. (bottom photo is snaptshot of the video) Truly an all-time cutest mother/daughter duo. Someone else had snapped a photo of Sandy napping across her momma's neck - it was so cute I had a hard time deleting it here to make room for updated photos but Sandy was so tiny in that photo that it was hard to see her.

Sandy Beaches took a 2nd place at the California Classic in halter class. We had actually thought about selling her as we are trying to narrow our business focus to greys that include white and black (that blend to grey in processing) Though I have to say that rich golden fawn is one of my favorites to look at - shiny luster looks like glistening gold. So I am re-thinking the fawn's altogether as they could help our grey program & their fleece dyes beautiful colors.

Sandy surprised us once again during SHIP (Suri Herd improviment Program) - Our 2nd highest score in our herd evaluation. Turns out her fleece regrowth after shearing, is really uniform and stays that way almost to her belly. Her scores of 4 of 5 in luster 4.5 of 5 on micron and 4 of 5 on uniformity with the added note of fine primaries and very fine secondaries - Atta girl! So nice to be pleasantly surprised by this girl over and over again that we decided to keep her in our foundation despite we breed primarily for grey.

We bred her to our 2x champion Kiss of the King and she "surprised" us with a multi-girl that looks to have beautiful luster and density present already. Who knows she may do grey after all but we wouldn't mind another just like her. Beautiful lock, luster - we had said Sandy broke the cute meter when she was younger, this girl is cute as they come.

We bred Sandy to GLR Sutton this year. With his dark color pedigree curious to see what color may arrive but we suspect he will add density to the offspring.
